Frame Rate is a lesson that seeks to give students a brief history of not only frame rate, but also that the discovery of frame rate is what brought about the creation of motion film/picture. In addition, it aims to help students understand the importance of frame in video production and how it can check the look and feel of any video production project, even in the most subtle ways.
Understanding: This lesson focuses on teaching students the history of frame rate, and how frame rate effects video production projects.
Objectives
- –Students should understand what frame rate is
- –Students should be able to identify the 3 common frame rate speeds
- –Students should understand when to change frame rate
Review: Providing students with video visuals is great for this lesson to help students see and understand the changes in frame rate speed. In addition, students can work within groups to learn how to record slow motion on a dslr camera. (The Instructor can show students what they’ve recorded using the projector/computer)
